Oh what the hell..
Okay so.. I got 10 black neons.. I have never had trouble with them dieing before.. I used to just drop them right in to the tank and they would be fine in 2 hours.. this time i have ten. i drip acclimate them... and 4 are dead.. looks like another is gonna die.. there is no spike in my QT tank.. the PH is jsut a bit high but they wher ein high PH water when i got them.. why are they dieing?!
this is the reason i never used QT tanks before!!! this stupid stuff happenes... P.S. the filter was cycled on my goldfish tank. |

They were probably "sick" when you bought them. I'm not sure about black neons, but regular neons are bred in VERY poor conditions and have an extremely high mortality rate between the breeding vats and getting to the LFS. Most of the time, they're ready to die before they're even sold. At least, that's what I hear.
