Scape? What's a scape?

IME Corys love any substrate that they can root though, and is fairly small. You want to avoid anything with sharp edges (not a problem with AS). I've never had sand.
I have ~12 in my tank, and they do not uproot anything. If you only had ~1/2 inch of depth I would worry.

I have eco complete and my corys are fine....I believe aquasoil is even more soft and fine than eco, so I highly doubt there is a problem with Corys and Aquasoil. I say go with it.

Planted Tank Obsessed

i've never seen cories 'dig' but as far as them uprooting stuff it probably depends on the species and the specimen itself. i've had a pair of panda corys for about a year and i've never had an issue with them uprooting anything. i could see how some of the larger species could uproot small plants like glosso or HC but i seriously doubt they would. they're pretty carefull little guys.
