I would not mind them much if they jsut hung out in the substrat and kind of nibbled on junk in it.. any leech like worms that do that? maybe these are jsut giant planiera like demons..

mm.. flukes? I think my goldfish might have those.. they have red veins in there fins even when they water is prefect.. thoguh they show no other signs of flukes

I shall try coppersafe if they go after the meat in the worm trap with in the next two days.. if not.. I still might try it.. I shall save my snaisl though.. I like those.. haha they don't go after my plants at all and keep them quite clean.

any clue as to if Water Wisteria, Cabomb (green and violet), or fox frill dislike copper?

Plants should be fine. I don't think your trap will work though--not if they're bloodsuckers. They'll need live prey. Actually, if they do end up in your trap, it will mean that they won't hurt you or your fish and you can keep them!

Would it be possible to get a really good photo of one? The video sure moved like a leech and was shaped like a leech, but without a closeup, it's possible they are something else altogether.

With as many leeches as you have, I'm sure the goldfish would show damage if they were being attacked. Come on...capture one...fast it a few days...introduce snail.

And yet...gross. You're still gonna want them gone!

they are not in the goldfish.. which makes no sence.. perhaps goldfish do eat them haha. I will capture one once I see one swimming about.. All I see are egg thingies.. no adults yet..

umm.. oh yeah.. they don;t seem to have the jaws like a leech.. both ends are sticky grabby things.

Egg thingies? You probably wouldn't be able to see leech eggs. Maybe they're snail eggs.

Leeches look like they have suction cups on each end. (The really huge ones might look like they have jaws but they don't really.) Dude. You got leeches!

It's harder to see damage on fish that aren't goldfish, but look for anything out of the ordinary on their skin/scales. If you don't see them very often, the fish are probably eating them when they get a chance. (Makes sense that you don't have them with goldfish. Goldfish like to look under rocks for worms and things. Gotta love 'em.)

mm.. none went in the trap..

and as for the egg things.. they are like.. i dunno imagine like an oval dome shapped thing stuck to a rock.. I will get pictures of them once I am home... as for suction cup thingies on each end.. they donlt have those.. jsut worm like points.. thoguh they do "attact" to the glass some how..

what might the bite makrs on a cory catfish ook like? I should have jsut go more goldfish.. darn amazon tropicals..

anything I can through in that will eat paracites such as leeches? If not I will just "nuke" it later tonight.

Do any of your friends have a large cichlid you can borrow for a few days?

Do you have room in there for one of your goldfish? Have to be sure other fish don't peck him, but can't beat a goldie for cleaning. Are the egg things sort of clearish, whitish, and/or yellowish and kinda jellylike?

Wow, that's odd!

Definitely a leech, I'm so curious about how they were introduced into the tank!
A loach would seek and destroy those buggers I'm positive! If you prefer the a more natural method as I do.

If you have shrimp, get 'em out before you use Coppersafe.
