Expelling guts?

My aunt is trying her hand at guppy care and obdiviously breeding (cant get around that). Anyway about a month ago one of her guppies suddenly had all this pink stuff sticking out of its backside (not poo) it was really thick and gross looking not stringy or long more like an angular oval. My aunt thought she was giving birth (not likely) anyway she died within an hour of that hapenning. And today it hapenned again to another one (she just called me freaking out). It takes about 5-10 min for this stuff to come out and just hang there and then within the next hour the fish dies.
It looks so painful with their little body stretched around this big tumor looking thing.
So what could it be? worms? a severe case of constipation? Expelling guts for some reason?
The fish were happy and healthy previously fins all beautifully flared out and swimming around doing what guppies do best.

looks to me like parasitic infection, I dont remember which parasite but theres a kind that actually eat the fish from inside out and will pop up out of the fish anus looking like an organ but its actually reddish worm looking thing

Were these female guppies? If so, she may (emphasis on MAY, as I have never seen it personally) prolapsed. Especially if she was pregnant. Other than this, I defer to those with more livebearer experience than I.

Well, if it's an issue with a prolapse of the uterus, it's very likely genetic. Due to the incessant inbreeding of guppy strains, many develop problems like this, and there is pretty much nothing you can do. You could possibly keep males and females separated, but if the females were showing no signs of pregnancy, than this really won't help. Unfortunately, if this is a genetic problem, then there's nothing you can do other than obtaining them from another source. Again, though, perhaps a guppy breeder will chime in here, as I don't specialize in livebearers.
