Niger oto -Hisonotus leucofrenatus
Have you guys ever seen one of these otos?
I just got 2 from Justin over at Ocean Aquarium here in SF. It's a strange one, but it sure loves that algae.... One of mine is missing his right eye (found out when I got him home) So his name is "lefty" or maybe "lefteye" Here's their fact sheet. http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog...otu/1386_F.PHP LOVE JBOT |

Always to the left. It's sort of funny, but also a little sad. I could have returned him when I got him home and saw the missing eye, but figured I could give him a good life, and I have lots of other disabled critters, so what's one more? LOVE JBOT |

I have keep this fish for a few years and have had them breed for me. Great little fish that will stay small like an otto. Goodluck with them.
Cheers, Whitepine

I got three of these from Justin about a month or so ago. All lived and are doing well, despite going through a tank tear-down and new tank. Very active and smaller than regular otos. Justin called them Niger Otociniclus.
