Fish for a 29 G tall
Hi! I'm just starting up my new 29G tall.
The plan is to have a nice planted tank, my PH in my 10G seems to sit happily at 6.8 with DIY CO2 with a KH of 5.0 (I'm adding KH boost to get my KH up from around 1.5!!) I usually add a bit of Aquarium Salt to my 10G too. (less than 1 teaspoon once a month to cover my 25% weekly water changes). I'm thinking of the following fishies for the new tank. What do you think? 2 x Red flame Honey Gouramis 2 x Clown Loach 6 x Neon Blue Dwarf Rainbows 3 x Otto Cats I've got 3 female guppies pumping out babies in my 10G, I'm thinking of feeding the fry to the 30G tank as well as occationally collecting some snails from the 10G and bringing them over to the 30G for the loaches. Myself, I wouldn't recommend putting gouramis and rainbowfish in the same tank, especially in a tank with this little surface area. Rainbowfish will spend most of their time in the top third of the tank, which this won't leave them much habitat. With little area to swim and being in the presence of semi-aggressive fish, it will be tough to keep them healthy.
