Did they spawn?
I can't tell. All I know is my male ram has decided that the largish flattish rock in the tank is HIS rock and he's chasing everybody else away from it if they come close. He was also not happy today when I cleaned the tank and did a bit of pruning, coming over to "attack" the tweezers or tongs. The angle is bad, there might be eggs over to one side of that rock under some overhanging wisteria. Hard to tell. The husband figure noticed they (the pair) seemed to be taking shifts, the female came over to the rock, and the male left it to forage around for a bit.
If they did, not expecting anything of it, but it's still neat!

Cindy, if yours are like mine, that's definite spawning behavior. Sounds like that eggs might be gone (they'll eat them themselves). Even so, they may continue to tag team like that for another day or two.
My bet is on "Yes".

Poor thing! He's probably totally stressed out, I introduced an additional 10 cardinals today (the last fish for this tank) before I knew which just added that many more that he'll have to chase off. I got hubby to look, and he agrees with me that those must be eggs. We'll see how long they last ...
I've only had these rams for about 3 weeks, so I'm happy. If they're spawning, it means they're happy.
