Mystery (fry?)
Last night I noticed what looked like a 3mm long piece of hair or plant particle stuck to the side of the glass of my tank. When I was feeding the surface I reached in to brush it away when it rapidly swam away from my finger. It was dark in color similiar to a hair and did not seem size wise anything like my previous live bearers fry.
In the I have harlequin rasboras, otos, platies, swordtails and two zebra danios that I can't seem to get out of the tank. I'm wondering if it could possibly be a danio fry? I'm going to see if I can find it in the tank tonight, wish I had photographed it before disturbing it and causing it to swim off in to the tank. |

Sounds like a zebra danio to me. In order you see: 'shards of glass' things on the bottom, circle of fry on bottom, straight fry on glass, and tiny fry at surface of water. If you do catch the zebras (large net & feeding) put them in a spare tank for ~a week and remove the adults. If all goes well you will have dozens a few weeks latter.
