Well, honestly, i used both dry and liquid ferts.
I am currently using the ADA green brighty series and could not be happier! I think they are awesome and super easy to use. I use to use dry ferts and i didnt like measuring and mixing ferts, i found that the dry ferts are also good. I just didnt like the measuring. I have heard that pfertz are also good, but i havent tried them yet :P

My best results are with Tropica Mastergrow....currently known as Aquacare. I also dose phosphate, potassium and nitrate for which I mix my own solutions.

I've used ADA and pfertz ferts and couldn't see a visible difference so I'll stick with the pfertz for my small tanks since there low light (I don't dose every day) but dry dose my bigger tanks. I haven't used Tropica's products but at $30 for 500ml I doubt there is any real difference between them and ADA/Pfertz.

That's where I get mine. I swear by it. But YMMV.

With 150 watts of light over a 24 gallon tank you will need high CO2 and fert levels or you will end up with stunted plants and algae problems.
Despite the supposed "ease of use" liquid ferts are really a waste of money. It is so cheap to use powders and a three dollar set of measuring spoons makes it easy to measure them out. Why pay to ship water and a fancy plastic bottle when they don't contribute anything to helping your plants to grow? Suggest you read the "Dosing Regimes" sticky in the Fertilizers and Water Parameters forum. |

I was thinking about trying dry ferts but l do like the ease of use cause I am lazy sometimes and wont feel like mixing up the powders. From what people have said on this thread I dont agree that they "don't contribute anything to helping your plants to grow". I will check out the DOSING REGIMES to see what it says.
