excel dosing ?

so i think i read somewhere that excel has a short life in the water and is affected by lights. if this is true, then is it better to dose excel in the night after the lights are off or does it not matter at all? thanks.

I'm quite sure that the Seachem stated that it is best to dose in the morning before the lights go on.

The plants would use it for photosynthesis during the day when the light is on. Therefore, dosing at night wouldn't make any sense.
