I've always used SeaChem products and like them very much, but now I see this pfertz line that's out.
What are you opinions on ferts?

Hi all,

Hi all,

I have read as much info as I can find on the misting method of CO2 delivery. Previously, I was using Rex style external reactors on both my EI tanks, with reasonable success. Like most people, though, I found that the output from each canister was slowed considerably with the reactor plumbed inline with the outflow.

So, I bought two Hagen Elite underwater filters and set them up as diffusers in both tanks (45 and 72). I seem to be getting reasonable results in the 45 gallon... however, in the 72 gallon the plants seem to be pearling, but I can't seem to lower the pH by a full degree with the misting method. Perhaps this is just simply due to a lack of circulation in the 72 gallon (since it is a 4 foot tank).

I would be content to just watch the plants in the 72 and see how they do, but there already is a degree of BBA, so I want to make sure my CO2 is optimal, lest the algae get out of hand.

So, my question is, can you get away with less CO2 if the misting method is used? Since not all the CO2 is dissolved with this method, should I aim for the same drop in pH as I had before?
