Rena Smartheater

My Stealth finally kicked the bucket so I decided to pick up a Smartheater and see if it would connect to one of my Fluvals and it went on perfectly. I had thought about an inline Hydor but was concerned about the reduction in flow it might cause. It looks pretty narrow. Anyway, just thought I'd mention it in case any Fluval owners were thinking of giving one a try.

I'm liking mine so far. It seems to be holding a nice steady temp and there's one less thing in the tank.

I thought the smartheater was the one that replaces the intake bar on the Filstars and the HOBs? Or am I thinking of another one?

That's it but the intake tube on the Fluval will also fit it.

I use Smartheaters on both of my Filstars. I think they are great.
