Upgrading tank-Filter options

Right now, I have a 10 gallon that I purchased a Marineland c-160 for. I was planning to get a 29 gallon, but ow have decided to get a 55. I know that my Marineland filter won't be enough and budget is and issue. I was wondering which option would be best

Marineland c160 + Aquaclear 30- I already have both of these
Marineland c-160 + buy a smaller cheap canister filter and run both
OR Buy 1 new larger canister

Input would be appreciated. Thanks!

just by another canister filter for the 55. this will alow you more maneuverability with flow and filter media. id say get another C series or and Ehiem or the same caliber and you should be good. also what is the C - 160 rated at i don't rember (I have the C - 220 in my 30 gal).

The C160 is rated up to 30 gallons. So I should use two canister filters on the 55? When doubling up, where do the intake and outputs go?

I can get a Eheim 2213 for around $40.00 shipped (I have a gift certificate) Should I go for it? I can't find too many filters that are cheaper than this.

congrats on the 2213, good price for a good filter. both the C-160 and the 2213 are relatively top of the line filters
