Difference between AM and AB reactor 1000s?

Is there any difference between an AM reactor 1000 and a AB reactor 1000?

At Big als, the description for the AM is....

"Closed CO2 reactor for external use for aquaria up to 2.000 l ( 500 Gal) The reactor 1000 is a hermetically sealed unit for introducing CO2 into larger aquarium. It can be mounted outside the aquarium or inside the cabinet. The very powerful unit can supply aquaria up to 2.000 l ( 500 Gal) with CO2 . The reactor 1000 is supplied with a strong holder. While at ereef tank the description for the AB is

"External CO2 Reactor. For Aquariums up to 500 gallons. The reactor 1000 is a hermetically sealed unit for introducing CO2 into larger aquariums. It can be mounted outside the aquarium or inside the stand. The reactor 1000 is supplied with a strong holder. Dimensions - total height is 15 inches with a diameter of 3 inches. Hose connections: 1/2 inch input & output. Recommended flow rate of 250 gph. "

Don't these seem quite alike, like almost identical? Is there a difference or are they the same?

Are you referring to the Aqua Medic reactor 1000 ? Is that what an "AM reactor 1000" is ? I've never heard of an "AB reactor 1000".

I've got 2 Aqua Medic reactor 1000's and can fully recommend them. They are 100% efficient and are easy to set up.

Aqua Medic is the North American branch of the Aqualine Busche Corporation.

So AM and AB are the same company. The products are identicle.

Yes they are the smae. They do make a reactor 500 though

The Reactor 1000 is vastly superior to the Reactor 500 in everyway. I have both and will be getting rid of the 500 shortly.
