Look at the feeder made by lifegaurd. You put in the exact amount you want released at each feeding. This way all inaccuracies except for the timer are cut out, flake or pellet.

Hi,

I use the following auto feeders on my tanks

http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...&N=2004+112973

Works well, has the individual compartments for flake or pellet, has an airline hookup. Its big though, and hangs over the tank on brackets. Drops the food over a 2 hour period of time, encourages fish to stay in the open.

Works well also, no airline hookup, holds more food than the feeder above, much smaller as well. Drops all the food at once, what I use on my cichlid and community tanks - encourages a mass feeding frenzy.
