mounting compact fluorescent screw-ins (with thumbnails)

this post is for anyone that's looking for a good way to place screw in bulbs in a hood that's secure and easy... i found some metal brackets in a clearance bin in the local wal-mart that were meant to hold mop / broom / rake handles so that they could be mounted on a wall. they look like aluminum and are a perfect fit to the base connector for a screw in bulb. since they already have a screw hole in them, no drilling is necessary. i used a small piece of scrap wood beneath each bracket to raise (or lower) them from the wood of the hood and secured them extra tight with plastic zip-ties. changing bulbs will be a piece of cake, and they took white paint extremely well. on top of all that they were extra cheap... around $1 for a package (2 brackets). i'll take a pic and post it tonight so that you can see what i'm talking about a little more clearly.
