Rio Co2 Mod

Im thinking instead of doing the HME (Hagen mini) mod I would put the airstone in my Rio powerhead. The Rio is pretty strong and right now I have the airstone under the intake of the powerhead.

It shoots out the CO2 really well but some bubbles escape to the top.

So what do you think, I would cut down the stone put it in the open space in the Rio and just make a little hole for the tube?

I cut a wooden airstone if half once, and all I had left was a piece of wood with a hole all the way through it.

I don't know if they are all like that.
