I'm planning on setting up some pairs of ODNO bulbs for lighting in my new tank. They have endcaps @ home depot, but is this safe enough to use for an aquarium? The tank will have a glass canopy on it for a 75 gallon FW aquarium.

If there are water-resistant endcaps available where do you get it? I'd prefer a T12 size and get an adapter for T8 (or T5???)

Thanks in advance

I don't think there is a problem if you have a glass canopy. Look at the Allglass fl. fixture. It's endcaps are not exactly water proof. It doesn't have a cover either and they ask people to use glass canopy to protect it.

Coralife has the waterproof endcaps but quite pricey. Petwarehouse carries them (T8 and T12).

Agreed, if you use a glass canopy, you can use the cheap endcaps from Home Depot with no problems.
