co2?

Would this work for a co2 in a 10G but hook the tube on an airstone or doesnt that even work as a co2.

Yes it would work. I would place a check valve of some kind and a gas separator/bubble counter between the bottle and the tank to avoid the yeast snot from getting into the tank

Couldnt i just cut maybe 3 chunks of screen out and put that somewhere to help stop it? and do i need a check valve..im tryin to go cheep as i can as you can see.

Pieces of screen will not prevent liquid from entering your aquarium. A check valve is definitely a good safe guard and gives you peace of mind by preventing the yeast mixture from entering your tank. Besides (at least the cheap, plastic ones), a check valve is a couple bucks only.

Check valves are usually available at the LFS, and not a book store...

Well first off coles is a hardware store not a book store? and second thanks coleman and lastly haha i dont really want to pay shipping but im looking tomorrow at lights and if there a lot less on the net ill prob just order one off here. I just dont want to order one little thing and pay shipping unless i look at ebay because its not like always $9 just for shippin.

I totally understand you not wanting to pay shipping for a tiny little check valve!! You may be able to find one that is the proper size at your local hardware store (maybe call around a bit first; if your luck is anything like mine they'll have every size but the one you need!), if not I bet you could order one from one of the smaller suppliers (maybe Rex or Orlando) and shipping would probably not be that bad - my brass check valve weights exactly 14.9 grams, just over a half-ounce...you could put it in an envelop and mail it with a single $.41 stamp!! If I had an extra I 'd send it to you!! Get brass, as they're more durable.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll be able to find a better deal for a light on-line somewhere..what exactly are you looking for?

SO a bubble counter will just let you know how much gas is being put into your tank by providing a visual reference: bubbles per ______ (second, minute)...

And look through the DIY section (or better yet do a search) and you can find a plethora of ways to make your own, home-made bubble counter/gas separator!!

And that check valve you linked to should work just fine (as long as it will work with your size tubing)

Ok i think i may understand, correct me if im wrong.

you have your main 2liter with your mix, run hose from that into a smaller bottle incase any bubbles go in the tube and it will go in the small bottle n not the tank. then run another hose from the small bottle into the airstone...is that correct? does that mean i dont have to buy that thing in the link?

that thing in the link is a check valve, it only allows things to flow one direction, it will keep water from going backwards thru the airstone into the small bottle.
