Sorry, I didn't know; in Canada, Coles is a chain of bookstores
As for diffusing the DIY CO2, you have several options. As mentioned, you can use limewood diffusers. Some people have had success with using ceramic disk diffusers, but I could never get them working with DIY CO2 (it might be because they don't generate enough pressure consistently). Alternatively, you could always just feed your CO2 tubing into the intake of your filter and let the impeller smash up the bubbles.

Check out some of these diffusers-they seem to be fairly inexpensive and most likely in your price range - http://www.google.com/products?client=safari&rls=en-us&q=CO2+diffusers&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&um=1&sa=N&tab=wf&oi=property_suggestions&resnum= 0&ct=property-revision&cd=1; There are other options, but I'm trying to keep it simple. I think you would be happy with a glass diffuser. Sorry I didn't respond earlier!!

Although I've never plumbed my CO2 into the inflow line of my filter, I know that some people do...some people say it will/can present problems (air trapped in filter, noisy, etc), but others seem to not have a problem with it. And I wonder how effective your filter would be at breaking up those CO2 bubbles anyway... you may have a micro-bubble explosion if you do this, but I'm not sure. Anyone else, perhaps with experience doing this, care to share?

im gona be using this method
http://www.qsl.net/w2wdx/aquaria/diyco2.html the diy co2 reactor. puting co2 into the inflow of your filter could cause problems cause the bacteria filtering your water require oxygen. |

someone stated that didnt work for their diy co2 setup. i that would be more effective in pressurized co2 system. |
