finished my tallll, cheapo hood today! finally

heres some pics of my new cheapo strange looking talllll 29g hood.

i think i may have the lights to far away from the water, about 5-6" away from top of water????????

im using the 60watt replacement 16w spiral 6500k bulbs. i have 5 in it now but may but another 2way light spliter to get 6. its bright as hell but think its still not enough . or ill go up to 5 100w spiral bulbs lol.

i used metal flashing as a reflector because im mr cheapo and better than without! the hood measures 9.5" tall, 30.5" wide and 12.5" deep. looks like a building on top of the little 29g tank lol. yes used the same wierd crackle laquer as my finish! its tough!

i can finally see my fish! and no shadows!

oh and i have around 50 bux in it so not to bad.

Very interesting...it kind of reminds me of a castle...How is it seated on the aquarium? I can't quite tell...
