diy co2 reactor

i got the idea from http://www.qsl.net/w2wdx/aquaria/diyco2.html



so i picked out a vitamin water bottle which i choosed cause it's pretty tubed shaped, not alot of bumps and curves like a water bottle. i made a hole for the powerhead attachment and a hole for the airstone.



i pluged the airstone hole with a feather i found so when i push it thru the silicone covered hole on the bottle cap none of it gets in the airway.



just waiting for it to cure.



gona work on it more today.

silliconed some fiberglass screen(is that ok?) onto the inlet of the powerhead and attached a cut bottle stuffed with foam.

co2 comming from diy co2 setup.



i put anti fungi solution with alot of sea salt in the gas separator, is that ok? just trying to eliminate any yeast from getting into the tank.

Im thinking about starting one but I dont know where to buy a check valve and silicon tubing. And what did you use to attach the tubing to the cap? I read the article type thing and it said to use some bulkhead.

i just drilled a hole and pushed the tubing thru then put silicon around the hole.

they should have check valves at any pet place that also deals with fish.

You can get them Petsmart for $2.00 or EBay for aprox $2.
