Ordering Glass

I've been toying with building my own ADA style, rimless/frameless tank and have got to the point where I am getting quotes for glass. My question to anyone who has done this is, what kinds of things should I be watching out for?

The cost variation that I am seeing across 3 different sources is huge. There is a 65% difference between my low and high bids and I am wondering why. Glass is glass isn't it? The glass parameters were, as far as I could tell, the same. Annealed, not tempered, edges machine polished, 3/8" thick.

What are the proposed tank dimensions?

36" by 18" by 18"

Probably a little overkill but I wanted to be safe.

you can get different kinds of glass which is probably why you are getting different prices.

it all depends on the iron content in the glass. more iron = cheaper. Some places you can order Starphire glass for the front panel, which is optically clear and has a very low iron content or you can do all 4 sides in starphire
