Fair enough, that's your opinion that they're better. I don't think one is better than the other, just more appropriate in different situations. In my situation, I no longer want to see heavy black corners. There are images of nice scapes in rimless tanks with light backgrounds that I think would be destroyed by a black edge.
I might build both if all goes well, just to see them both up close. I would certainly prefer black if I have a black background but that's not what I'm planning so far. |

I had a rimless 33 gallon built. Span was 48" so there's a center brace, but it's all made out of 1/4". And all of the panels are beveled.
