CO2 By Human Respiration

Has anyone seen this on TheKrib? He says it takes 3-5 minutes every two days and it is enough for a 75 gallon. http://www.thekrib.com/Plants/CO2/mouth.html

Yeah, say it before, but are you really willing to blow into a bag every two days? o_O I think I'd find it annoying eventually.

It won't work... effectively.

Human breath is CO2, nitrogen, and other air, all except oxygen. The air contains about 79% nitrogen. Thus, you breath out about 79% nitrogen. Add the other elements and you have less than 15 percent CO2 going in...
I forgot the exact figures.

Technically, it should also contain oxygen as well. Think about it, how else would rescue breathing or CPR work? This line of reasoning would mean that you could rely on your fish to produce enough CO2 for your plants. Yes, technically, it will work, but it's really crappy.

The DIY yeast method would be much better and still very cheap.
At least its only annoying every 2 weeks to a month.

CPR has nothing to do with Oxygenation, if has to do with restarting a person's involuntary breathing and heartbeat.
Oxygen is only needed once circulation resumes in order to reduce the chance of damage to oxygen starved brain cells.
Our lungs are very efficient Oxygen exchange systems. whatever oxygen is found in our exhale is unused from our windpipe.

Wow where do I get one of them straw set ups. Thats just what I was looking for. As for O2 that we take in is around 9-8% and we release about 4% of that. So all in all you are only putting out 4% CO2
