Hmm.. the use of a airstone on a DIY system can lead to some pretty dramatic results. If the airstone plugs you can get a hell of a mess.

Anyhow....I have kept the stone in for now but will remove it shortly. I see that you guys are right. The reactor does not destroy the little bubbles...just stirs them to the top where they become one bubble that gets fractured apart. I agree....i see no reason for the stone and will remove it! Thanks! Mike Ps the initial prefilter was to PREVENT the clogging of the stone...since no stone then no need for BULKY prefilter....Make sense? Mike

Guttboy, before you beat me over the head for this post let me explain that the following site is in japanesee. I have this thing for searching all over the world no matter the language to find DIY sites. I came across this one with great pictures that may help. It's plans for a micro CO2 diffuser for a small tank. I am workning on the translation as I write.
