Needed: CO2 reactor/defuser for nano, ideas?

*primary concern: cost*

If I can do this with stuff from around the house... all the better.

I was already planning on makeing a smaller versian of my 2L DIY CO2 reactor... But how do I deguse the co2?

I dont want anything thats going to take up too much space OR be obvious as the tank will have a... ummm... 'open' feel to the mid section.

ideas??

Its a 5 gal and its only in the planning stages so no photos yet, sorry!

I would go with a small ceramic diffuser for price, they usually run for about $4 at Petsmart. Unlike regular air diffuser, they are usually white in color.

ADA style glass difusser. The flower, transparent style sure to be a good view in a small tank. The problem is getting one that is affordable. This one is taken from my tank some time ago. It is a taiwan knock off but works well at merely less than $4 each.

If you are doing DIY CO2 route, be sure to make a bubble counter/ yeast catch before the diffuser.

"somewhere" there was a collection of diy topics and in there there was a topic from a year ago... two years ago if new year already happened for you about a home made diffuser. what the person did was take a little circle piece of plastic tubing.. 1 inch in diamiter maybe? and then put sheets of mesh on top. then finally he put his co2 line through the side. it was a really nice idea! now where did that topic go i was going to try that in my 10g...
