water movement

I was wondering if anyone has any tips to create good water movement without adding more electric devices in the water?

My intention is to have water movement at the bottom so the detritus are picked up by the filter.

Yep, use one good strong canister filter, extend the outlet pipe to the back bottom and then along the rear bottom, using a "spraybar", which is just a PVC pipe with holes drilled into it.

What kind of filter are you currently running?

Canister - u could put a booster pump on the output side, or just modify the output (spraybar submersed?)

HOB - ummmm, change to canister...

Ever since changing my pair of XP3's modified spray bar that extended all the way along the back of the tank to a glass lily pipes (Not ADA). the water movement has been so much better. I originally got them for looks but it has the benefit of increasing the water movement. Not a cheap way to increase water movement, but very effective and it looks great.
