I have instaled a PC fan who suck the air from the hood. But the aquarium temperature only droped to 28 C. Now I am sinking to add another one. Shall I instal it in a way to blow air insid the hood or to extract air from it.
Any sugestion ? Alex |

In saltwater the air blows in to keep the fans working. In fresh, the direction is not as importaint.

Set up the other fan to suck air out also. My hood is set up with 2 fans towards the front on either side. They both suck air thru the hood and to the outside. The cooler air comes in from the rear of the hood which has an opening about an inch high x the length of the tank. The two fans puul the cooler air across the light bulbs and out the front.

Another reason for blowing the air in is that the air flow over the surface of the water produces more evaporation causing the water temperature to lower. So you might want to have the fan blow in instead of out or adding another fan. Ron |
