It works fine, if not for the hassle of having to change the recipe every 2 weeks or so.
With regards to your recipe, I would increase the sugar and decrease the amount of yeast you are using, however. Most people tend to use 2 cups sugar and 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon of yeast.

so what do you think about the diy co2 infusser... pop bottle w air stone 1cup sugar 1 tbsp yeast and pinch backing soda. w warm water
