Tiger Lotus and filter in Lakewood

I appear to have a surplus of Red Tiger Lotus in my tanks. I've read several reports of aquarists who were unable to get these plants to reproduce; I however have the opposite problem. I have four small trimmed specimens in my little ten gallon and many more in my 55. I don't have large supplies of them but it is pretty constant.

In addition.... in typical bonehead fashion I was rushing through Petsmart not paying attention to what I was doing while picking up supplies. I purchased what I thought was a Tetra Whisper 3i in-tank filter.... instead I had grabbed a 10i. Unfortunately I have lost my receipt so taking it back is pretty much out of the question. I would like to trade my 10i for any used or unused 3i or equivalent. I just need a tiny filter for a tiny tank.

Also I need to specify that all transactions be local ones.... as I'm not interested in shipping plants or a filter. I live here in Lakewood, Co. or the Denver metro area.

Thanks!

Ira

We usually use little bubble powered sponges for our small tanks.

In any case, you can take back your filter without a reciept, you just get store credit in exchange, so you can get what ever filter you need. I like Petsmart that way.

Thanks Chris.

I returned it this afternoon... you're right; they took it without any questions. That's good to know.

Shrimp are doing well.

Any ideas on how many of those Zhangs you gave me? As I look in the tank it seems they're everywhere!

Thanks again!

Honestly I do not have any idea how many Zhangs there were. At least 16 or so.

Hope you enjoy them.

Yeah... right now I have eight and of them four are available for you to take.

If you want more than that... it won't be too long.

Once I recharge my CO2 the things will go ballistic. At one point with ferts I was seeing (literally) 1/2" to 3/4" of new growth a day .... my wife backs me up on those stats so exaggeration factor is low.

My friend called the things "Seymore"... you know the large plant from the Little Shop of Horrors.

Anyhow we can hook up in the next two weeks or so.

But I have them saved for you.

Unfortunately I will be unable to attend as I am headed to Grand Junction on Friday... I'm removing the body off of a 57 Chevy.

Anyhow I should be free the next two weekends so we'll try to hook up at some point.

I can look around... we (my dad and I) have so many contacts it's crazy.

Basically my dad started a street rod shop a little over a year ago.... and fortunately he allowed me to invest some of my own money and a whole bunch of time into it.

We sold our first car (another 57 Chevy) at the January Barrett Jackson auction in Scottsdale this year.

I'll send you a pic.

Anyhow yeah I'll see what I can do.

Out of curiosity what is the price range you are looking at? I haven't checked the prices of Ford sheet metal since my 72 F250 Camper Special way back in the day... that was a damn cool truck!

We are really just looking for an el-cheepo used one that will hold the stuff in our truck instead of the plywood home-made one I put on it.

Probably top end at $50, but would love to find one around $20-$30 if possible.
