Tally, those little calico's really are cute! Hard working little buggers. Hope you can catch the others for me for next meeting, they are in a VERY decorated 65g (loads of rock structures and an ornate background), and these 4 are saying "too much work, too much work..."! If you find some more for a good price, would you PM me?

On another note, I really loved that bag that they were in (with the water in the corners all sealed off...) -- where did you find them and about how much were they? Think the coming auction might have some? What did you put in the water to make it light blue?

Thanks again!!

There are some thick bags with the corners sealed off really well, pre-made, but they are pretty expensive. I just use regular bags and use my Food-Saver type sealer to do the corners. I have to stop the seal process about half-way through, or it will melt holes into the bag, so some water gets into the corners, but it sure helps keep the fishies from getting squished.

The blue tint is 'Bag Buddies'... a real life saver for fish that will be stuck in a bag for a long time. They disolve and provide more oxygen and have soothing stuff for the fish, too. You can find them online, but in a bottle of about 400 tablets. I would be happy to pass some on to anyone around here who needs 20 or so for 5 cents a piece (aproximatly our cost for getting them). One tablet does one gallon, and I break them in half for the smaller bags, and in a quarter for really small bags (like shrimp). We will probably get several more bottles for the Spring Auction as well if people need larger numbers of them.

I am pretty sure that there will be more baby plecos of several types at the Spring Auction on April 28th.

Yes, I think bagging up some smaller quantities of bag buddies would be great - I would guess that most folks would be FOREVER using 400 of them! If you happen to know where to get the bags that have the pre sealed corners, I would like to know. My food sealer thingy has long since gone... Maybe you'll want to make some up and sell them at auction...

Can't wait till the auction... we're getting some more tanks cycled in preparation
