Default Best Store to buy plants?

Hey guys,

I have been to a few of the stores around the denver metro area and some in fort collins. Some of the ones i have been to are: Denizens, D&G, Neptunes, and South Broadway Tropicals. I do not remember that many of the stores had a lot of plants that i can recall... Denizens had quite a bit, but i am wondering... What is the best store where you can get all of the planted tank equipment, and has the best selection of healthy plants? Anyone have any suggestions of their favorite stores?

Most of my plants have come from kind souls here, shipped and local, and most of my equipment is pretty DIY and piece-meal, so I don't have much idea of where to get the best equipment.

However, Pet World off of Wadsworth in west Denver Metro had some good quality plants at good prices, though not a very big selection.

Todd's Tropical Fish off of Hampden has a pretty good selection most of the time, but I have been in there a couple times that they didn't have much at all.

BTW... Welcome! Always good to see a new Colorado member.

Denizens is my "home" LFS... it's always got reasonable quantities of plants, and occasionally has some really interesting stuff (they had some nice looking crinum calamistratum last week, for example). Algae is sometimes an issue, but if you're around the Fort, it's the best bet I've found.

I will second TAF CAF, though, and say that the best plant options you will find - price, quality, etc. - will be from members here. I've gotten plants from maybe a dozen different PT members, and every single time have been more than satisfied. The online community is ALWAYS my first option when looking for plants.

I ventured down to sherman tank over the weekend, I loved it! I think the store is great. they have a nice variety of fish, and at resonable prices. I also traveled to denizens and D&G in fort collins and bought only 5 penguin tetras because the other fish they had i have found at half the price at shermans and Todds tropical fish. I saw a thread about Petworld off wadsworth and found the store pretty awful when it came to fish variety and fair price wise. So if anyone is planning on venturing to fish stores across colorado, skip petworld, not even worth your time.
