They just moved into their new location, was over off Federal in Westminster. The new store is really going to be great when they get everything setup. They said they were going to have over 150 varieties of plants when operational. Just bought my Coralife light there today for what seems to have been a very reasonable price, and 3 angelfish.

looks like they've dropped the old Federal location and have gone with two new stores. can't wait to check both of them out
I agree ShawnW, the old store was known for their reasonable prices. they've also got a spiffy new website: http://shermantankcompany.com/ speaking of LFS along the Front Range, anybody ever been to Mike's Killer Fish?

I was at their north Wadsworth location a few weeks ago and they were still pretty much in moving in mode. It looks like it will be a nice place once they get going, and they had a GREAT selection of rocks and driftwood. Fish selection was not particularly exciting, mostly marine, and they didn't have plants yet but said they would.

I was there about a week ago at the new Arvada store. Nothing special. It *still* looks like they're moving and getting everything together.
I still find sick and/or dead fish in their tanks, that's an immediate turnoff for me. You can sometimes find good hardware deals there though... So far IME the best place that has very healthy fish is Neptune's Kingdom At Univeristy & County Line down in the Highland's Ranch area. Robert |

Good plant selection there?
You might check out Pet World on 10th just off Wadsworth. They quarantine their fish for at least 10 days before they display them so they always seem to be in great health. Plant selection is decent if you can get there right after delivery. Otherwise it's only so-so. L |

So far, I've bought 2 golden honey gouramis, 12 cardinal tetras, 3 otos, 3 cory cats, and a small betta from them. Only one casualty - a cardinal, and he went through my additional quarantine fine. I think it was the stress of the 2nd move that did him in.
I haven't tried their plants - seems like I'm always getting there after they're picked through. L |
