With a Masters in Botany and a B.S. in aquatic biology from the University of California, Tom Barr takes his hobby and love of water-related organisms very seriously. He's accumulated over fifteen years of experience as an aquarist and aquaplant specialist (you may recognize him from the APD and Aquatic Plant Central forums!).

Presently, Tom is working as an environmental scientist for California, addressing noxious weed concerns and developing programs to restore the state's waterways. This evening, Tom speaks about marine planted aquaria - a new frontier worth discovering!
