LFS--Fish2000 in Tustin (SoCal--Orange County)
I've been to Fish2000 three times over the last couple of months ... in my opinion:
Pros: -Special order of dry goods with decent prices (though I ordered through Petown instead) Cons: -small, cramped holding aquariums -not a large of selection of livestock -not many, if any, plants -no plant substrate that I could find

woww. when i went to fish2000 i was noot impressedd
i guess it could be good for dry goods, but 1 look at the livestock and i wanted to die, at least in the freshwater tanks every tank had a bunch of dead fish sucked up against the filters and none of the tanks were labelled and many of the fish were covered in ich and the plants are few and severely overpriced at the same time |

I wonder if we couldn't start a website that rates local LFS on a scoring point for the world to see. Everyone goes in, scores their LFS based on 5 simple criteria and then reports to the website. Based on the points the LFS is scored and rated, the top stores always remaing toward the top.The same could be applied to online stores using a different set of criteria.

Sad update here ... I was @ Petown yesterday buying some Rasbora Heteromorpha, and the subject of Fish 2000 came up. Turns out Frank, Fish 2000's owner, died about a month or so ago. Supposedly his kidneys gave out (cancer?), and he died at the store.
Just in case anyone visited there regularly, though you should know.
