If anyone is looking for jumbo large Cardinal Tetras, you can find over 400 at ....

Rainbow Pet Shop
9066 Woodman Ave
Arleta, CA 91331
Phone: (818) 891-6366

They sell them for 2.99 each. I have been to alot of places and they seem to have the best prices on just about everything. If you go there for the Cardinals ask for them cause you may not find them. They keep them in a bare 150g in the back next to bird area. The have great selection on saltwater livestock.

They have a great selection on fresh and salt water fish. And they carry alot of rare and hard to find live stock. And if they don't have it they will order it for you. Great service!!! but some times you may have to wait a bit to be helped cause they are always busy but very much worth the wait .

i've seen at one time or another both Nematobrycon palmeri and Inpaichthys kerri over at Pacific Reef in Anaheim. unfortunately, i think they've since sold their Anaheim store. i also remember seeing some small Nematobrycon palmeri at their store in fountain valley a long time ago. you could still call up that store to ask if they still carry them. having been to a lot of different stores in orange county, it's not something you see commonly carried. if you can acquire even a single pair, you'll soon have more than you need or want. i've found N palmeri to be fairly prolific given the right types of food.

Stopped by Nature Aquarium on Santa Monica Blvd yesterday during lunch hour. I gotta say that I feel sorry for the owner there. I've been there 5 or 6 times this year and I don't think I've ever seen anyone buying anything. I don't know how he stays in business. It is one of the finest LFS anywhere.

He has a really nice selection of Tonnia now and other rare plants that I have never seen. He also has an extensive assortment of harder to find fish and shrimp. I just don't have the room in my tanks for any more plants and my fish levels are perfect. So I never need anything. I was tempted to get one of those small rimless nanos that he has. They are beautiful. But I just don't have the time. He even has a substantial line of ADA products and sells EcoComplete from a bin so you can buy as much or as little as you like. Just scoop it up and take it away. That's pretty nifty.

Oh well I just hope that he makes it through this economic downturn, I really enjoy my visits there............

Uh, we need a meet at Nature Aquarium then.

I was there two weeks ago and chatted with the guy for a few hours.

So, who's gonna be there this weekend?

Never knew about Nature Aquarium. I'll definitely check it out the next time I'm in that area.

went to the Reef in Anaheim today. That place is impressive.

If you Yelp, there's a few from the Orange County area that I've gone to and reviewed.

They actually just moved about a week ago from the other end of the plaza. Still has the new store smell!

They had to take the pond out and their planted tank isn't up yet. But SOON...

I went back yesterday and got a NICE bunch of Ludwigia Arcuata. And I am heading there on Thursday when he gets his new shipment of plants in. The weekends are kinda tough for me. It seems I am busier on weekends than during the work week.

I am also hoping to get some green neons and shrimp this thursday also. I made some room in my 15Gal this past weekend. I just hope they don't get sucked up in the 2215 that I have on it. I can't put a foam block over it because I modified the strainer so that my nano diffusor is inserted inside through the bottom. I basically cut a round hole in the bottom of the strainer large enough for the diffusor......

Something hardy and easy to keep. Nothing inparticular. Why what you got?
