Dollar per gallon sale

Petco is having a sale for one week, starting Aug 8. Tanks from 20 to 55 gallons will be only $1 per gallon!

Just thought y'all would like to know in case anyone out there is wanting to start a new tank.

Sarah could this sale possibly differ from city to city? Having read this i promptly ran out to the local Petco (Fremont) and was informed that the sale does not start for another week.

Perhaps you were mistaken or was I the victim of another usless blue shirt?

Oooh, my local petco has 20L (20 gallon long) for sale as "20 Liter". Wonder If I can convince them to sell it to me for $5.

Damn. I meant Aug 20th. And yes, IT'S NATIONWIDE! At least, that's what I've heard through the store's grapevine. I'll double check it and get back to you, but I'm pretty sure it's nationwide.

Starting the 20th, lasting for 1 week only, excluding bowfronts and box kits. I have my eye on a sweet 30g cube.

I have seen then regularly around $40-$49.

I went into two Petco stores and neither of them had heard a word about this sale.

I just called the Petco in Phoenix and confirmed that they have the sale starting tomorrow too. (I think I weirded the guy out when I asked him if I was calling Arizona.) I would call some other store across the nation, but I think they're closed now.

I typoed the first post - the sale starts tomorrow (Aug 20th) and runs for one week.

I would go Sunday if you're thinking of getting a tank. I've heard that they run out fast, and the sale is limited to stock on hand.

40 gallon breeders are not a popular size and most stores will only have 1 or 2 at the most (I'm thinking the bigger stores, since they'll have more floor space than some of the smaller ones). I haven't seen any 50g breeders in a while.

Some of the kits (excluding the stand) are also on sale - like tanks that come with the hood. It'll be basic sizes, but also hexes, stretch hexes, cubes, but not bowfronts.
