How does this layout sound
ok i have a little 2.5g mini bowfront tank that will house 1 briggs snail, a few(3-5) amano shrimp and plants thats it
so how does this sound for the aquascape 2 needle leaf java ferns just forward of the back corners(far enough forward to hide the 2 little filters that will be at each of the back corners). 1 hornwort plant in the very center back of the tank between the 2 filters. 1 anubias nana 'petite' a little farther forward and just off center to the left. 1 small clay pot covered in java moss a little farther forward and off center to the right. this is what i have planned out in my i am just wondering what you all think of this idea |

yea that's the only thing i'm not looking forward too but i heard hornwort is a great nutrient absorber so that is why i am including it in my plans unless i get another suggestion for a plant that is a good nutrient absorber that will work good in a small tank like this

With 2 identical plants in the corners, it might look a bit symmetrical. You might want to think about swapping one of the java ferns for a different type. Maybe windelov? That would have the right scale.
I'd second the hornwort removal, and suggest cabomba. There are a few different colors if you don't want the standard bright green. Most will grow in low tech setups. |

ok now does this sound
the needle leaf java fern in the back left corner with a tropica sword in the back right corner. then up a little ways the small pot with some java moss with a small(Very Small) piece of drift wood resting up against it with the Anubias nana 'petite' tied to it with dward baby tears(forgive me on the name its 4am lol) as ground cover with a mix of dwarf frogbit and red root floaters floating around the top |

yes i love the idea for the clay pot too i stole it from the idea for caves for larger fish like cichlids and if the shrimp dont use it as a cave(which i doubt they will) itll make a really neat addition to the tank because im going to paint the inside of it black so it looks natural that along with the moss on it itll look completely natural in the tank

ok guys ive changed it up a little im pretty sure im gonna get a redsea nano instead of the other filters so that ill have more room in the tank which means ill have more room for plants.
also ill be placing my order soon on a majority of my stocking for this tank so if there are any last minute suggestions they will be greatly appreciated because i dont want this tank looking too bare |
