ugh, whats that ?

I have these little brown horseshoe things all over my plants(sorry no pics). Could it be algae, or maybe snail feces or eggs.

Might be bite marks. Could you please post details as to your tanks flora and fauna?

It started a day after i noticed snails. Had no fish yet. Plants it ws on were Marble Sword, compact sword, balansae, crypt weditii, hygro, anubais nana, and ludwiga gladulosa

Did you have a plec* or other 'algae eating fish' in the tank at the time? A picture would really help.

no fish at all just plants then snails (sorry no pic will try to get one)

If you can tap the plant and they fall off, they are snail crap. Consider them a little present from the snails to you.

If they move around or are stuck to the plants, on the other hand, I have no idea.
