37g tall. Nova Extreme T5HO--upgraded to Marineland Aquatic LED with timer, No c02, weekly flourish--upgraded to Pfertz micro/macro and root tabs, weekly 20% wc. Eheim cannister filter (second filter and chiller removed-pending replacement)

(pending re-introduction of ramshorn snails)

Picture Rescue Crab Habitat
An impulse chain store purchase, this little guy was put thru the proverbial wringer by his hapless owner before landing in my hands.

ORIGINAL: Planted vase approx 1.5g

Substrate: mixed tan/black sand
Hardscape: Lava rock, a few manzanita twigs

Initial set up included: anubia nana petite, java fern, threadleaf java fern, xmas moss, baby tears, cardamine lyrata, duckweed, frogbit, red root floater and some bits of riccia.

Fauna: 1x red claw crab, various pond/rams horn snails.

5g standard tank
Sand and gravel with stacked sandstone
Malaysian Driftwood/manzanita twigs

Flora: frogbit, duckweed, pennywort, java fern, cardamine lyrata, threadleaf java fern, xmas moss, baby tears, shredded marimo moss ball, bits of this and that.

Fauna: 3x red claw crab, half dozen cherry shrimp culls, various snails (rams, pond, mts) and a quartet of endler fry.

2.5g no-tech: 10/12/12 upgraded to 3g JPJ Picotope. 12/2014 repurposed from cherry shrimp to dedicated "wild type" cherry shrimp tank.

Substrate: fluorite
Hardscape: local granite and mopani piece

Flora*: HC, xmas moss, crypts, anubia nana petite, hygro "bold", cardamine lyrata, temple plant, riccia, dwarf pennywort, frogbit, duckweed, red root floaters, salvinia cuculatta.
*subject to constant change

Fauna: 2x olive nerite, variable numbers of culled rams horn snails, ever increasing numbers of "wild type" cherries culled from other tanks.

No tech.

Crypt wendtii, cardamine lyrata, christmas moss, mini bolbitis, frogbit, spiky guppy grass, redroot floater.

Fauna: prev. 5x orange shrimp, nerites and pond snails. Those were moved to a new tank 9/25/12 and this bowl is temp housing for 6 male endlers. 11/24/12 added culled cherry shrimp showing blue coloration.
