I stopped by Ocean Blue tonight. The plant selection was pretty limited, though they did point out an area of the store that is intended to hold a plant tank...someday. They had a single planted tank with a limited selection at their previous location.
But, on a brighter side, I did buy out their total inventory of four Amano shrimp! They were $3.50 a piece, which I think is a pretty decent price. Now, being a salt water place, the first guy I asked told me (while pointing to the sign) that they were "algae-eating shrimp"
. But, I mentioned that was the purpose of shrimp, wasn't it! The owner and one other store employee told me they were the Amano variety. A decent shop. A nice clean row of freshwater fauna with some different choices (I brought home five threadfin rainbows also!).
