Can anyone comment on the noise level of your Cerges reactor? I had a Mista Max Mix and want something more quiet. I have the tank in my living room and it is currently dead silent. I do have a cabinet to put it in. I may just do a nice glass ceramic diffuser if it's gunna be loud. Thanks
I just built one and I would say its pretty quiet. However there factors that could lead to it being louder than it should be. For instance I seem to eventually loose water level in my reactor over a few days, as a result it gets louder than normal. As a fix I may try to go with bigger hose to plumb it with, add a ball valve on the outlet to up the pressure in the reactor, or add more flow with a bigger pump.
I have mine running on a seperate pump which is an Ehiem Compact 1000. With a 20 inch reactor I would imagine you would need pretty good flow.
FWIW, I have 2 cerges reactors in my living room (75g tank & 40g tank) and can honestly say I do not every hear the reactors. I do however hear the air pumps when the turn on in the evening but that is about it.
With his build he prolly doesn't notice not having the center pvc as when the bubbles are sucked out of the canister they will sit at the top of the tube where is heater is.
I have the same canister but without the inline heater and run a pvc down the center and works just fine.
