I have a filled co2 nitrogen mix tank that I got from my grandpa when he passed. I would like to get outgas it and fill it with strictly co2... but due to the way it was purchased (or leased actually) i'm not sure what will happen when i take it back to the place to have it filled... also it's the weekend so they're closed so i'll call them on monday.
My question is... what if for now i just used what was in the tank like i would use 100% co2? I know that nitrites and nitrates are harmful to fish obviously but what about nitrogen as an inert gas?
I also know that plants like nitrogen as well... I will probably go ahead with it sometime this weekend unless somebody has conclusive evidence against this method. Experimenting is fun... haha
