Eheim 2213 or Eheim ecco 2232

What do you guys think about the two? I know the 2213 doesn't have the nifty self priming system and you have to get the siphon started manually. I'm looking for a supplemental filter for my 46g tank besides my XP3.

40g AGA Breeder: Pimp# 44: Eheim 2026; Anti- Filstar; CLTT UV; 3 wpg PC, pressurized CO2. GATA! FTD!!!

I'm a big fan of the classic line. They have been proven for durability. I own 2 2213's and a 2215 and have zero problems priming em. Takes about 3 seconds, one little suck on the end of the tube and it starts, easy enough.

ECCOs simply do not have the volume flow that the 2213 has. I like 2213 best. Best value for the money.

I own 2126 Pro2thermo, pro2, pro, 2 eccos big and small, and 2213.

Alright, that's settled. I'll go by the two of you and get the classic...once I get my meager paycheck from the university. I swear they take advantage of us GTA's!!!

2213.

I would fill it with foam pads and let it act soley as a mechanical filter.

That's pretty much what I'm planning on doing. I may do a layer of bio media sandwiched between a bunch of foam.

I ordered a 2213 from Petsolutions.com. Cheapest price (with shipping) that I found anywhere. It came scuffed up a bit, which I'm not pleased about, but maybe your results will vary.
