what does every one think about these? ive read a few posts im looking at the rapids pro for my 10 gal

If you are planning to have a planted tank, this filter is a bit on the weak side. The idea is great, but the pump they use just doesn't quite cut it. Also maintenance is a bit of a pain, there are no shutoffs or quick disconnects so you would need to take the tubing out of your tank each time the filter needs to be cleaned.

So, for a little planted shrimp tank, it might work well. For a normally planted, normally stocked 10gal, I'd say save the money and get a HOB (AquaClear) or spend some more money for a better canister.

Undeleted my post. Also if you search for Toms Mini or Zoomed 501 (very similar filter) you should see a lot of discussions and opinions.

I'd get a 2215 for a 20 gal. Some will disagree that it's a little too much flow, but better to have more than less, and you can always adjust down the eheim's flow if need be. My 2215 on my 29 gal is not enough btw.
