Filter media overkill??

I was able to get a Fluval 106 canister for free. I'm planning on using it on a 12 gallon long.

I'm cycling the filter on my current nano tank with
-filter floss (mechanical)
-purigen (chemical)
-chemipure elite (chemical)
-seachem matrix (bio)

Too much? Or is there something else I could possibly put in the filter that would benefit me more??

Also what tubing size is the filter? I want to get Lily pipes and ir comes with those wierd hoses

its not an feels like it but it will make your water quality way better. Also u wont have to change your filter media as often . A problem you might have is the water flow. It might be too strong for your tank so i suggest that you make a spray bar. All you really need is some pvc pipes. Check out "King of DIY"s videos. he has a video about making a spray bar

Right now its on an established six gallon rimless cycling until I switch everything over to my new 12 gallon long. The canister has a lever that controls flow so I turned it down..

Is there a nice spraybar?? Like a lily pipe version or something
