I recently purchased an aquatek regulator. It's not outputting a constant pressure, it slowly drops down to 15psi over about 6 seconds then jumps up about 10psi, and cycles on like that. Has anyone else experienced this?
Is it the premium regulator where you can adjust it? If so boost it to 40 psi and see what happens. On my premium regulator it does that too from time to time. I run mine at 40 psi and from time to time it will drop to 30 psi for a couple seconds then back up. It doesn't do it constantly, mainly when I mess with it but, since I have the GLA diffuser at the moment it requires at least 30 psi. So as long as it stays above that I don't worry to much. My CO2 appears to be fine at 40 psi from what I can observe.
Its a pretty common problem aquatek has with their premium regulators. Check for leaks if that doesn't work jack the pressure up to 60 psi. That's what they told me to do when I emailed them about mine. I went through 3 of their regulators all with the same problem I finally gave up. If neither solution fixes the fluctuating pressure issue I'd email them and get a replacement.
