Oh how I love the Lego set that comes with each Filstar

Seriously, you need some hard plastic tubing to get the 180 degree angle from the filter into the tank. Just letting those hoses dangle over the rim isn't going to work.

If nothing came with the Eheim, you should make a trip to the hardware store, and get some elbows and plastic pipe and barb connectors and pvc glue and do it yourself?

There was a thread I searched for where someone did a phantastic job with those connections, but I just can't find it ops:

If you come across the thread please let me know. I was in Home Depot this afternoon and started putting together an idea in my head... however I was not able to find what I needed to construct my plan.

Lego set with Filstar you say... what size hose/tubing comes with the Filstar?

AJ ■ Oceanic 30G Cube ■ Filstar XP2 ■ CSL Power Compact with Moon ■ Hagen CO2

Ace hardware carries a lot of the smaller barb fittings in the 1/2" range. The store near me carries a nice selection, you might find some elbows there. Don't know if all ace hardware stores are the same though.

With the Filstars, it is all 5/8 tubing size. Good quality too  It's easy to work with, since it just so fits over 1/2" pvc pipes or the regular garden hose connectors/barbs (for any extension desires, like to add a CO2 reactor).

Finally found the thread!!! For some reason I thought it was in the photo album. Well here it is, thanks to Daemonfly!
