Wiring a solenoid

I have a power supply in:

And I need to attach it to a SMC VDW250-5G-2-01N-H-F Compact Inline Solenoid Valve with 24V DC Coils. (PDF Documentation Manf Web page)

Pictured:

So is there a primer on how to properly strip the end off this power supply and wire it to the solenoid without causing a thermo nuclear explosion and frying the solenoid, the power supply, or my house?

Yes, you guessed correctly... it is my first go around.

As I mentioned in the other thread, you can either do some wire to wire soldering to connect the two together, or connect the ACDC power supply's leads to some blade connectors and do it that way.

If you are not too sure what you are doing, i would highly recommend you find someone that knows what they are doing and/or an electrician, since you are, in the end, working with electricity.

I did a wiring job with a similar solenoid, mine is DC so the polarity did not matter. That pdf contain all of their VDW series, you have to find yours and read it.

Your solenoid already has a wiring job, in fact, it has two wiring job done. You got the quick disconnect and the clamp blades.

I did a write up on it in one of the threads, I forgot which one because there 3's huge threads on Co2 regulators.

Darkb has already mention the the various ways. Your solenoid is already wire, you have to wire the adapter now. I had both the clamp and quick disconnect, I prefer the quick disconnect.

PS - That the funniest looking regulator I seen, it looks like it flown all over the world, and the shape is hilarious!

Thanks Darkblade. I understood what you posted in the other thread, but the site here has some people that have put together some really good step by step guides for regulator builds and such. I was hoping there might be one for this.

I can handle a lot of DIY, but electricity tends to be an area I've always stayed out of.

I'll look for FlyingHellfish's post. Thanks guys/gals.. whichever.

This is low voltage and pretty harmless. Worse case is you burn out the adapter. And that's usually from letting the bare wires touch because you're working on it while it's plugged in. Can't tell from the picture but is the adapter 24VDC?
Hardest part I think is going to be separating the wires. Yours is a round cable other photos have a zip type "lamp cord"

Then it all matches. Wire that puppy up. Put a crimp QD on it and rock and roll.
